Child Learning and Care

Activities and Groups

Playing is a great way to spend time with your child and an exciting way for your child to learn about and discover the world around them.

Join us in the villages of Emneth, Outwell, Marshland St James and Welney for our weekly ‘Explorer’ groups. Come along to ‘Sing-along’ or ‘Mini-Movers’. Look out for Family Learning sessions and courses that help families learn together.

Activities and groups are free of charge and open to all Norfolk families (unless otherwise stated).

Families from outside Norfolk wishing to access groups are advised to contact the centre for more information

Bookstart Corner - Encouraging the love of books and linking with your FREE local library service

Four Bookstart Corner sessions can be offered in the home by our playworker for one hour over four weeks.

Please contact Carole at the Children’s Centre for more information.

Transition support

Starting nursery, pre-school and school can be unsettling for both children and parents/carers. We work closely with local settings and can support you and your child to have the best experience you can. Support can be offered on a 1:1 basis or as part of a small group.

Please contact Carole at the Children’s Centre for more information.

Childcare and Education

Emneth Children’s Centre provides a childcare and education brokerage service. We have good links with all childcare and education providers in the Children’s Centre area and can help you to find a suitable place whether you are returning to work, study or wanting to access your 2,3 and 4 year free early education.

Please call us for further support and information
