School Improvement

The School Improvement Plan is a key school document which details our aims and objectives for the year ahead and the actions we plan on taking to achieve these aims.

Please find below our key priorities and what we want success to look like.

  • TO IMPROVE PARENTAL CONTRIBUTION TO CHILDREN'S LEARNING- For parents to become much more involved in all aspects of their child's education and for parents to be better informed about Nursery life. We aim to this by introducing a new electronic assessment system called Tapestry as well as launch a Facebook page. We also endeavour to keep our website up to date.
  • TO RAISE STANDARDS IN TEACHING AND LEARNING ENABLING IMPROVED CONSISTENCY- The teaching will be inspirational and engage and challenge all children. Children will become researchers and collaborators and supported to see things in different ways. The use of digital technology will also deepen children's thinking. In addition the appointment of a Deputy Head Teacher leading high quality teaching will inspire the team and ensure the setting is consistently good.
  • TO BECOME A REGGIO INSPIRED NURSERY SETTING-The high quality learning environment will promote children's learning and investigation and raise their engagement levels. Time for reflection and talk will enable adults to plan effectively for children's interests and children will have a more prominent voice in the direction of learning experiences. We will also be learning from other Nurseries as well as continue our research internationally.

All of the staff team will be working hard to achieve these aims and we value your contribution as parents to whole school improvement. Any comments can be shared via the Head Teacher or your key person.
