School Improvement

we are continually striving to improve our practice and be the very best we can be. Below are our priorities for the academic year 2018/2019.

1) To develop closer links with the wider community- This will involve being more active within Emneth as well as using strengths within the community to enhance teaching and learning. In addition how we share more widely our good practice with other professionals.

2) To improve integration of our youngest children into Nursery life- Following our CPD overseas and in particular in Reggio (Italy) we want to integrate more our babies with 2-4 year olds and maximise opportunities to do this as well as ensure family groups get to spend more time together during the day.

3) To develop provision off-site for outdoor learning and the consolidation of Forest Schools work- We are now looking at running off site Forest School sessions at a copse 1 mile from the Nursery. Children will be targeted to attend these sessions and they will run in the morning or afternoon. We aim to impact children's well-being, confidence and resilience as a result as well as develop new skills and risk taking.

4) To build upon our relationships with families and enable them to maximise learning opportunities with their children at home- This will ensure parents understand why certain experiences are beneficial to children and what learning happens as a result. This will help families to support children at home and also help them to understand what the children are learning at school. All of this improves long term learning outcomes for children.

If you have any suggestions for School Improvement then please feel free to discuss these with the senior leadership team.
