Mindfulness and Yoga

Mindfulness for children sharpens focus and strengthens attention, similar to how physical exercise builds muscles. It can help children develop the tools to build self-esteem, manage stress, and skillfully approach challenges. Teaching children how to reduce stress in a healthy way is an important life skill that will help them as children and as adults. It also help improve children’s emotional regulation.


Yoga for children offers not only emotional benefits but, of course, physical ones! Regular practice promotes flexibility, balance, strength, coordination and posture. Additionally, it improves body awareness and helps children to focus their attention on the present moment and on each part of their body.


In each room there is an mindfulness area, which we use with children everyday and we also incorporate mindfulness and yoga activities into our group times and at lunch times.
